Who we are

We are a Not for Profit service looking at providing a financial empowerment platform dedicated to helping NRI women build wealth, confidence, and independence—on their terms, across borders.

WealthWiserHer was born not from a boardroom—but from a quiet, recurring realization at home.

For over 20 years in wealth management and banking, working across global financial hubs. We advised high-net-worth clients, structured investments across borders, and helped families grow generational wealth.

But the person who made me pause—and eventually pushed me to rethink everything—was our wifes.

As driven, talented, independent woman who excelled at her work, juggled family and career across countries, and navigated life with purpose. Yet when it came to negotiating her salary, understanding her investment options as an NRI, or making confident financial decisions in a global context—they hesitated.

And they wasn’t alone.

Accomplished women living and working abroad—revealed a pattern. They were managing households, building careers, supporting families across time zones… yet felt left out of the wealth conversation. They found financial advice either too generic, too technical, or simply not designed for their unique journeys as globally mobile Indian women.

That’s when the idea for WealthWiserHer took root.

Not just a financial platform— but a movement. A space built for her, with her in mind.

At WealthWiserHer, we believe financial confidence isn’t a luxury—it’s a right.

We combine culturally attuned advice, goal-based investment planning, and real-world tools that help NRI women take charge of their money, career, and future. Whether it's navigating foreign tax laws, negotiating that long-overdue promotion, or deciding between buying a home in Mumbai or Melbourne—we’re here.

For every question she was told not to ask.

For every decision she was expected to make alone.

For every dream she shelved because the financial path wasn’t clear.

WealthWiserHer exists to make her journey wiser, stronger, and truly her own.

    Ajay Rao

    FOUNDER & Financial Planner

A global banker-turned-financial feminist, our founder has worked across major financial centers, helping manage wealth for clients worldwide. But it was watching his own wife juggle careers, countries, and currencies that sparked the idea for WealthWiseHer. With decades of financial expertise—and a deep belief that every woman deserves financial confidence—he launched this platform to make smart money advice accessible, jargon-free, and tailored for today’s NRI woman.

That insight sparked the creation of WealthWiseHer—a platform born not just out of professional expertise, but personal conviction. Built for NRI women, it aims to simplify money, remove judgment, and bring confidence and clarity to every financial decision—from negotiating a salary in a new country to buying a first home, investing, or just getting started.

He believes finance doesn’t need to be full of jargon, gatekeeping, or one-size-fits-all advice. Instead, it should be personal, practical, and purpose-driven—just like the women it serves.

And that’s exactly what WealthWiseHer stands for.

    Shikha M

    Financial Planner

A rising force in the world of wealth advisory, Shikha M brings 7 years of international financial experience paired with a passion for empowering women to take control of their money. Born and raised in India, Shikha quickly established herself in the global financial arena—working across three of the world’s most demanding markets: London, New York, and Hong Kong.

Her career began on trading floors and wealth desks, where she advised a wide range of clients—from young professionals to business owners—on investments, cross-border finance, and wealth planning. But over time, a pattern emerged: women, especially NRI women, were often underserved, overlooked, or overwhelmed by traditional financial advice.

Driven by a desire to change that, Shikha joined WealthWiseHer, bringing her fresh perspective, global credentials, and a commitment to making finance relatable, inclusive, and empowering. She believes financial advice shouldn't be intimidating or exclusive—it should be smart, supportive, and tailored to your life stage and lifestyle.
